| TripShare and the Green Party |
[May. 23rd, 2007|08:37 am] |
Thanks to a great discussion between the TripShare team and NZ Green Party Leader, Jeanette Fitzsimons earlier this year, TripShare featured in this month's edition of their magazine 'Te Awa'.
AND...
...we're offering $20 of TripSharing credit to every Green Party member that logs into our site and enters the promo code featured in the magazine.
You can sign up for their magazine (and grab that promo code too!) through the Green Party website
We're really pleased with this alliance and look forward to working with the Green Party to promote the benefits of car/boat/truck/plane pooling... |

| TripShare not quite going to Wales |
[May. 21st, 2007|07:17 am] |
Because other people's deadlines are far more motivating than your own, the TripShare team entered The Welsh Regional Development Agency's Technium Challenge for high growth technology companies this year.
We had to pull together a top notch business plan describing how we'd conquer the New Zealand and UK markets - and we got to the NZ final! We'll be back next year to take the glory, and its not so embarrassing to be pipped to the post by Xero , Rod Drury's latest venture.
And at least now the team doesn't have to have the hard conversation about who wants to live in Wales for a year.... |

| How does TripShare work? |
[Aug. 27th, 2006|09:21 pm] |
TripShare is an online service which connects drivers and passengers. Registering on TripShare is free and allows you to search car trips, boat trips and plane trips and contact the lister to organise your travel plans.
Use TripShare's Search functions to sort trips by travel date, start and end locations and, when you've travelled, you can leave feedback about the trip. Read other people's feedback so you can choose to ride with others who have built up a good reputation.
Drivers may request that passengers pay a portion of the petrol money. TripShare recommends that drivers and passengers work out all financial arrangements with each other before the trip starts.
Searching TripShare and contacting people about their listings is always FREE. You just need to register to get a free TripShare account.
While we are in beta and testing the site, posting a listing is FREE! (Eventually it will cost 50 cents to post a listing, but only if that listing results in a successful agreement to travel with another TripShare memeber. If no one makes an Agreement to Travel with you, your account will not be debited. But, again, while we are in beta, it's all free.) Get on board with us early and add your free listing now!
Go try it out! |

| And We're Up! |
[Aug. 27th, 2006|09:12 pm] |
TripShare was conceived by two guys who worked at Weta, who lived in the same town and each commuted 40 minutes to work and only discovered they were spending hours every day a couple of car lengths apart after a solid year. And then they started commuting together and everyone lived happily ever after. No, really.
The two guys, their two girls, and one of the girl's brother made TripShare happen. We've worked on it for more than a year, and we still have a ways to go, but it's coming along. We're testing it now.
